The Direction of 2010

Best Director
Christopher Nolan for Inception
In looking at the nominees, I am happy to say that I have seen all of their films except Aronofsky's Black Swan, and judging from Requiem for a Dream, he may deservedly give Nolan a run for his money. HOWEVER, of the other four, Nolan is definitely the winner. Inception was an amazingly creative film, and Nolan used the skills he has as a directional story teller to really bring viewers in and keep them there till the end of the film. Don't get me wrong, there were other good directors. Fincher is great and did a great job with The Social Network. I also thought Tom Hooper did well with The King's Speech. However, I believe this is Nolan's year like I believe it is Bale's year. Inception is purely amazing.
